Can I still experience the vibrations if I turn the volume down?
I don't do yoga or meditate, why is this for me?
2. Research in the growing field of vibrational medicine indicates that standing or sitting on a vibrational platform can help mitigate bone loss, and even in some cases reverse osteoporosis. See NASA and NIH articles for more information.
3. Research also indicates that when we bring awareness to various parts of our body, we naturally strengthen our immune system.
4. While using music to support the natural healing process is nothing new. Quantum Physicists and researchers are now proving what ancient seers & spiritual masters of many cultures appreciated for thousands of years. Music has a profound effect on your body and your mind. Therapists in the re-emerging fields of Music, Sound and Bio Acoustic Therapy are finding benefits in using music to help with pain management, ward off depression, relieve anxiety & calm patients during painful procedures, increase range of motion, movement and ease muscle tension.
5. Many people do not meditate because they do not understand it or have a hard time doing it. Meditation and/or Prayer is a healthy practice because among other things, it supports clarity of mind and more coherent body/mind communication. It is like cleaning out the hard drive of your computer so that it runs more efficiently and effectively.
The reason the ancient masters taught the practice of
meditation and/or prayer is because when we practice
meditation or go into prayer we focus our brain and
body, and we increase our alpha and theta brainwave
states.
This is known as the “magic window” for shifting our
limited patterns of belief and awareness. In alpha we
decrease our body/minds stress response which evokes
our natural self-healing abilities. In theta our
consciousness becomes more internally directed and the
experiences seem vividly real…our nervous system
interprets them as real and creates a significant
movement of energy, thus healing.
Intelligence, Happiness, stress, pain, etc… is all a
matter of perception. Our neurological networks begin
to develop in our mother’s whom and our nerve cell
locations determine functions and our perceptions.
Which explains why feeling the music resonate through
your body enables you to perceive things in the music
and within your body/mind that you may have not ever
have perceived before.
6. As people first experience the SO Chair, a common
statement is, “Wow, now I understand what it means to
meditate and/or what it is like to get into a
meditative state”.
Brain science shows that our brains are operating
within multiple frequencies all of the time. Using
specially designed musical programs you can entrain the
brain into operating in a more balanced state and /or
target various states for desired consciousness to
promote:
•
Enhanced Creativity and problem solving abilities
•
Releasing old negative thought patterns and habits
•
Reduce Stress
•
Induce deep rest and relaxation
What is the difference between this and speakers or a subwoofer?
2. The subwoofer generally is a low frequency audio driver that is complementarily to speakers and is designed to produce audio (sound in the air). The SO SoundHearts are a completely different addition to an audio sound system because they add tactile (what you feel) excitement from the music/sound.
3. The range of the full system can be shown by the graph below.
4. A Subwoofer is designed to deliver music via the air (at the speed of sound in air) versus via mass (at the speed of sound in water). SO with a subwoofer you have to turn up the volume very high in order to feel the low vibrations. This is not healthy for the ears or for the autonomic nervous system of body/mind long term.

Introducing Acoustic
Resonance Technology (ART) to augment the pure
listening experience supports a sensory integration
experience. We increase the bandwidth (frequency range)
for receiving the musical information in a more
comprehensive way. There are several other key things
to be aware of in appreciating this as an augmentation
to just listening to music:
• Numerous holistic
healthcare studies indicate that as we become more
aware of the sensing and feeling state of the
body/mind, we naturally strengthen our immune system.
Energy follows awareness. This is the basis of
accupuncture, massage, carnail sacral practices as well
as somatic therapy.
•
In alignment
with this is research around pain control. For example
a study known as “The Theory of Pain Control” initially
proposed in 1965 by Melzack & Wall (see link to
articles). This research basically demonstrates that
when one gently touches the body through massage or
subtle vibrations we stimulate a neurological
communication to the brain to stimulate the pleasure
response of the body/mind. This actually buffers the
pain response and begins to entrain the body back into
a more balanced state of health and well being.

Research
conducted by NASA (see link to article) In short, it
shows that standing or sitting on a vibration platform
can help mitigate bone loss, as well as increase the
flow of oxygen through the bones. As the bones begin to
resonate, muscles and ligaments surrounding the bones
begin to relax. Stress is reduced, flexibility and
range of motion improves.
Does turning the volume up make the vibrations more intense?
Please do know that sometimes “less is more”. In other words, while you may not be as aware or perceive all frequencies being delivered at first, you are still getting the benefit.
As you use the SO Sound system more and more, you will notice that your level of kinesthetic perception increases. This is because as we “exercise” our brain and body/mind into more balanced states, we release muscular tension and stress which is what inhibits our ability to feel and we expand our consciousness awareness.
